WOW! Congrats to Room 13 on an EXTRAORDINARY Poet-ea performance! We laughed ... we cried! We are so proud. Each and every student really showed tremendous growth, talent and confidence. Bravo! Thank you to parents that joined us for this celebration of learning. We look forward to hosting Mrs. Hewitt's Poet-ea next Friday, June 8th. FYI No school Monday, Bike to school on Tuesday. At 7:45 am Hewitt will be doing Yoga stretching in the back field, and Mrs. Parent will also be doing activities in the field. Please make sure you wear proper safety gear and lock up your bike at the rack. Up coming dates:

Please remember to bring your Poetry Party folders back so students have a chance to rehearse during the week at school. Students have brought home their POET-EA INVITATIONS. An email has also been sent home with the dates and times for each classroom. Please make sure students record their poem so they have it at home to practice during the week, and return it on Monday (as they will get extra time in class to practice). For Homework: We were learning about Rhyming Couplets for Poetry today. Please come up with a rhyming couplet that goes with your name! Share the song, "Down by the Bay" with your parents!
